Highlights of the Tour
01: Arrival at Kochi
On this first day of your Temple Tour of South India with Kerala you will be transferred at the hotel as you arrive at the Kochi Airport. Evening explore the surroundings or walk down the Marine Drive. An overnight stay in the hotel is scheduled after a sumptuous dinner.
02: Kochi
This morning, following breakfast, you will have a full-day city tour. Make a tour to the Dutch palace, Jewish Synagogue, St, Francis Church, Jew town and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Don’t forget to enjoy a boat ride through the serene backwaters of Kochi. Evening is reserved for a spectacular Kathakali dance performance. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
03: Kochi - Kumarakom (85 Kms-02 Hrs)
In the morning guests will be served a sumptuous meal and thereafter to the next destination- Kumarakom. On reaching Kumarakom, you will be cozily accommodated in a desired hotel of your own choice. Late afternoon go for birding tour to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary or enjoy the Kerala ayurveda massage at the resort. Enjoy a sumptuous feast at a local restaurant and stay overnight at the hotel.
04: Kumarakom
Your fourth day Kerala tour is sure to be a mesmerizing experience as you will enjoy boat cruise on the backwaters of Kumarakom. After which you can explore the area around. While at Kumarakom visit to the Vembanad Lake is a must. Stay overnight at the resort after enjoying a delicious dinner.
05: Kumarakom - Periyar
On this fifth day of your Kerala tour you will enjoy a drive to the Periyar in the morning. On your arrival relocate to Kerala hotel and stay overnight at Periyar. You can make a short trip to the Kumili spice plantations, Thekkady National Park and Periyar Lake.
06: Periyar - Madurai (140 Kms-03 Hrs)
On this sixth day of your Kerala tour itinerary you will be driven from Periyar to Madurai. On arriving in Madurai you will be accorded a warm welcome by our staff representative. Enjoy a short sightseeing tour of the city to the Meenakshi Amman Temple, Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam temple and rock cut temple and later stay overnight at the hotel after a sumptuous feast.
07: Madurai - Trichy (142 Kms-03 Hrs)
Your Temple Tour of South India with Kerala will take you to Trichy on seventh day as planned in your Kerala tour itinerary. On arrival explore the famous temples like Srirangam, Samayapuram, Ayyapan, temple, Athmanathaswamy temple, Gunaseelam and Thiruvellarai. An overnight stay in Trichy is scheduled.
08: Trichy - Tanjore (60 Kms-1 Hr)
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the onset of your eight day of your tour. Post breakfast you will be driven to Tanjore. After taking the hotel rooms, set out your sightseeing at Tanjore. Explore the Tanjore Brihadeeswarar temple, Thanjavur Palace and Tanjore paintings. Overnight stay at Tanjore is scheduled as per the itinerary.
09: Tanjore - Pondicherry (83 Kms-04 Hrs)
Today, on this day you will move towards Pondicherry. On arrival check in at a hotel which matches your travel requirements. Relax for sometime after which you will visit the Jalaram Temple, Thirunallar, Varadraja temple and Masthan Saheb Darga. An overnight stay is scheduled at the hotel after enjoying a sumptuous dinner.
10: Pondicherry - Mahabalipuram (104 Kms-02 Hrs)
On this tenth day of your Kerala tour you will be driven to Mahabalipuram post breakfast. On arrival you will be accommodated in a hotel.
Afternoon visit the Shore Temple. Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram after enjoying a sumptuous dinner at the hotel.
11: Mahabalipuram
Post breakfast you will set off for a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. Visit the eight famous antique Rathas (chariots) of Mahabalipuram. Later relocate back to hotel and stay overnight at the hotel after a sumptuous dinner.
12: Mahabalipuram - Chennai (58 Kms-1 Hr)
Your Temple Tour of South India with Kerala visit will come to and end today as you will be timely transferred to the International airport for your flight to your onward destination.
